Core controls
Exact defaults can vary by release and pack configuration, so use Minecraft’s Controls screen as the authoritative place to see your current bindings. Jade commonly exposes controls for opening configuration, toggling the overlay and handling related display actions.
If a key appears to do nothing, search the Controls screen for “Jade” and look for a conflict marker. Large modpacks often assign several actions to the same key.
Configuration strategy
Start with the default modules enabled, then disable information you consistently ignore. A good HUD should make your next action easier; it should not become a wall of text.
Keep the HUD readable
- Disable low-value modules you never use.
- Prefer consistent placement near the top or edge of the screen.
- Resolve key conflicts instead of memorizing multiple overlapping shortcuts.
- Re-test after adding large integration or recipe mods.
